  1. Some of the Many Functions Known To Maple Include:
    FunctionCommand
    cos xcos(x)
    sin xsin(x)
    tan xtan(x)
    cot xcot(x)
    arccos xarccos(x)
    arcsin xarcsin(x)
    arctan xarctan(x)
    FunctionCommand
    arccot xarccot(x)
    exexp(x)
    ln xlog(x)
    cosh xcosh(x)
    sinh xsinh(x)
    tanh xtanh(x)
    arcsinh xarcsinh(x)
NOTE:  The quantity e–4 is entered as exp(-4), not as e^(-4). Likewise, for example, e–x2 is entered as exp(-x^2), not as e^(-x^2), and not as exp((-x)^2).
